I drew this chinese temple after being inspired by Dennis´s shading lesson 2 in pen and ink.
I cannot decide whether to colour wash it inorder to get more contrast or whether to leave it the way it is.  :-\
Any suggestions?  :thankyou:

Gita,

What a fabulous job getting all the little details in.

Personally I'd be afraid to color wash it.  Looks good as is.

To wash in colour....  :-\ ....or leave as is? I'm afraid that has to be your call. Tough decision.   :gl2:

I love it, Gita.  If you aren't sure about color wash, what about making a print and try a color wash in that? You could have it both ways.  O0

Thanks everybody. Good idea Kathy. I could make a copy of it on good paper and colour it
Doing those details was like meditation, Mea. By the end of the session I felt like this:   :pullhair:

Dennis, thank you. Excuse me if did not start with the homework in the 2nd lesson. I felt like I should try the shading after having freshly lernt how to do it from your video.
I personally think this drawing of mine has too many details. It looks a bit crowded with lines. Maybe I should simplify more.
I am looking forward to the knowledge in the consequent videos.  :D

I drew again, a lot simplified and made a colour wash. I would love to hear your opinion and hints for making it better (especially the shading part). Personally, I like this one a lot better. The colours make the drawing look optimistic.

Gita,

It really looks lovely with the color wash. I like it.  Not sure it could withstand a strong wind, though, looks about to topple.

Both are lovely Gita.  O0   I like the detailing in the pen drawing, I think the colour version doesn't require the extra detail.
