Greetings and salutations.
I have been awol from any type of art for almost 30 years except a few sketches here and there. ( Life issues)
However, I am now in the process of getting back in touch with art and attempting re-build the skills I thought I had lost.
I'm hoping that a forum of this type will increase the inspiration and accountability factor.
Thanks for reading and have a great day.

Clod

Hello and greetings Clod!    There are many of us here who started here after extended lay offs from our artistic ventures so you are not alone there.  O0 We also have many souls brand new to trying their hand(s) at artistic ventures. There is something for everyone here from novice to master.
You will find the forum members a pleasant group who will help you along the way with advice, suggestions and most importantly good humour. Never worry about posting anything you may be unsure of. Someone will always be about to lend a hand or find a solution for you.
The lessons will lead you along the path each one building on the previous and take you to some pretty lofty highs!  :heeha:

Dennis and Nolan are masters not only in their craft, but at passing it on in terms which make it very easy to follow and understand.

So.... what medium(s) have you used? I would recommend starting with the drawing courses to get you up and running. Even just a few helps to get you on the right road.

Glad you found us, look forward to seeing your creations, so join in, and have fun!  :yippee:
Cheers, Val

:welcome: Wonderful that you found Paint Basket. It is a great place to be and the get that creative juices flowing. I have been a member here for a few years, before I came here I would have never imagined I can draw and paint the way I do today. I amaze myself and I love learning more and more everyday.
As Val said, there are great people here and Dennis and Nolan are not just great tutors but very warm and kind people. Always willing to guide us.  ;)

Looking forward to seeing your work and progress. Happy  :painting:

:bigwelcome: so glad you've joined us, Clod. As already stated, Paintbasket has much to offer in classes and forum support.

I joined in January with little drawing experience. I am amazed at what I've learned with the Let's Draw course. I have now added watercolor after completing that course. In fact, I just completed my first commission.  :D Yikes, never did I think someone would want my artwork and pay for it.

I highly recommend Let's Draw. You will learn so many valuable techniques and develop the eye to create astounding art!  ;)
