Thought I would show you my only two portrait paintings I have done besides the ones of my three children when they were small which they cut up and discarded into the dirtbox.   :2funny:

These are both marvellous Valw.  I've been told I draw nice portraits but I've never tried to paint one...I guess we'll see soon enough how that goes  :sweat:
Shame about the dustbin...paint carricatures of them next time!  :2funny:

 :thankyou: for your lovely comments.   I just know that after the portrait lessons I will have the knowledge on how to paint portraits and not a hit-and-miss effort.   I bought a book on portraits by Helen van Wyk to learn portrait painting which was very helpful but I can't wait for Nolan to show me how to do it the right way.   

I will be forever grateful for the teaching Nolan has given me for painting a rose as he shares all and more so unselfishly.   I always had a blockage to paint roses - they always looked so flat!  I am now one happy  :) chappie
