Here's Wilma with the background color the client chose. I would have preferred a green like the eyes but they have hints of this color interspersed around their mostly black and white decorated home. I really struggled with this because the initial color was too dark and the cat didn't stand out. So I had to scrub it 2-3 times to mute the brightness - thus the mottled look.  So stressful! Do you think it looks ok?

Yes, more than ok - it's beautiful Sharon! I would never know about the background struggle 😉  Plus it pulls in the reddish pink of her mouth -

Denise, thank you! Your comments make me feel so much better! I was mad at myself for going so dark, I should have known better. Just glad someone invented scrubbing!!

Sharon, I think the background looks fine. It's textured and interesting, without detracting from the kitty.
