Chris,

You did a great job on this.  A few of us like to call it the "instant artist" piece, because you feel like an artist when you get it done.

Welcome to the club!

Great job Chris. Isn't it amazing what you can do with a pencil and eraser?

:yippee: Great job Chris!!!

I love the texture you created on your mountains.    This would look excellent on a sketch of the Pyramids!!!  :heeha: No pressure here!!!  :2funny:

Don't mind me, I get 'visions' sometimes when I look at things. Scary huh?  ;D   You are going excel in this course...trust me!
Cheers, Val

Thank ya'll for the kind comments.  I did have fun with this one, although after posting I realized that the trees looked like they could had been transplants from Whoville... I had to redo.  This gave me additional time to practice shading, to give some texture to the mountains and to change the angle of the lighting.  I'm having much fun!

Also, Christina, if Charleston, SC is nearby

Oh, Chris, you are learning fast!!

Adding shading and texture raises its level considerably.

I've got to share this... while my attention was on something else, my youngest daughter made a slight modification to my first lake drawing.

She said "I changed him to a girl, girls like to fish too!".  I'm changing the title of this drawing to "Pig Tails"  :)

    Chris, your sphere is well done and you are doing a great job. Your daughter seems to be very astute in changing your drawing to a girl fishing. I thought that was pretty cool.   :2funny:
