Author Topic: Mom Painting again after 10 years!!!  (Read 1308 times)

I got just the most joyful news today.  My sister took this pic of my 88 year old mom immersed in her new abstract and india ink painting.  She was always a very good artist, the rare type who used no photo references for her work even when it was representational.  I was sad to see her retire her brushes at 78 y.o.  Well, she has the bug again and is working here on a series of 5 big canvasses she will hang together.  It already looks cool (even if I am biased).

Wow!  :yippee: Seeing this photo and learning about your mom certainly made me happy. And it is easy to see from whom you get your talent and incentive, Lynn. This is a beautiful painting that she is doing. It would be fun to see more of her work--her earlier paintings and others in her BIG painting series.
