Kathy S

Nice start of the ball drawing.  Slightly pregnant on the left side.

I find it best to trace a perfectly round object to make it look really round.

I actually hated doing this exercise in the beginning.  Now I draw shaded spheres often.

Thank you Steve, Val, and mea for the support and encouragement. Lol, I guess the ball does look a bit pregnant. I will have to draw a picture after she gives birth to the baby balls.  :2funny:

My berries are done.  :D  Each lesson is just packed with detail and information. It is really nice to be able to go back and view the work of those of you who did these lessons before me. I'm having a blast!  :yippee:

Great job on the berries, Kathy S.

Might want to add a bit more dark value to the upper right leaf.

Otherwise, great work!

 You are learning so FAST.

Thank you mea. Yes, I see what you mean about the upper right leaf.  It does look a bit washed out. I will adjust that tomorrow.  :thankyou:

Hi Kathy,

Wonderful job. It's a lot of fun, isn't it?

I love the texture. What paper did you use?

Thank you EmmaLee.  :thankyou:
I'm working on the rocks right now.. They are quite a challenge. I think I made my directional lines to heavy so I'm having to lighten them as I go along.  Getting all the directionals and the variations in the shading is not easy.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. :help:

Wow! The rocks were quite a challenge. I would love insight and suggestions. I'd like to do this one again as I think there are some fundimentals I need to grasp.   :help:
