Good morning. Just getting started and already having lots of fun! I have completed my first two assignments. I want to post them here but don't see how to attach photos. I have created an album in my profile. I'd love to know how to move them to this forum.

Kathy,

We all had to learn this procedure.  Once you do it a couple times, it's like second nature.

Go to FORUM page, bottom "HOW TO" section.  Click on "Hot to add a photo to a post/use gallery"  Or click here:
http://www.paintbasket.com/members/index.php?topic=504.0

Since you already have the photos in your gallery, you are half done.

Once you locate the BBC and copy it exactly, then you can paste it into your post.

As Nolan would say, Easy Peasy."

Go for it.

Welcome Kathy! This is a great place to learn. I like your landscape. Does it not give you a real feeling of being an artist? I remember doing mine and thinking that I could not believe I did that. Your tree is okay, better than mine was. I did not even post my tree I so ashamed of it.

Posting is easy once you know the tricks. Since you already uploaded your work, go to your album and open it so that you can see your work. Next,

Click on the picture to open it. You should then see the picture enlarged and Item Info below.

Look for the line that reads BBC and put your cursor in that text and highlight all of it and copy it. Next,

Go to the forum, create a new subject or reply to an existing one, and in tne text box where you type, do a paste (details is machine dependent).

That's it. Do a preview to see it work.

Thank you Barry and mea. Yep, easy peasy now that I have the magic code .  😉

Yes Barry, the landscape was quite exciting! Now I'm working on the tonal values.

Enjoy your day. 😀

Kathy,

Barry said the exact same thing I was going to say about doing the landscape painting.  I, too, felt like an instant artist.  Isn't it amazing!

You were braver than me to post your beginning tree.  Mine is still in hiding.

You're off and running!

Great job, Kathy. O0

I laughed when others mentioned their early attempts are squirreled away somewhere. Mine too. ;D

Welcome Kathy, I have just finished this course and enjoyed it immensely and was surprised at what I could actually produce.    I am sure you are going to enjoy the PB "family" who encourage you all along the way.   I too posted my first 10 minute tree. :)  Your Landscape is great

:yippee:   Great work Kathy!!!   :bigwelcome: to Paint Basket!!! Keep that tree safe....in a few weeks time you won't believe the difference when you draw another. My poor tree...well, let's just say I think it went took to hiding in the woods, I haven't seen it in years!  :2funny:

You are starting in the perfect spot with this course. The basics you learn will cross over into whatever medium your decide to set hand to. Plus, you have the whole crowd here to help you along if you get stuck  :pullhair: , just give a holler and someone will be there to lend a hand.  O0

I look forward to seeing your progression and cheering you along. Have fun!!!  :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:
Cheers, Val

Kathy--This is such a GREAT course and good for you for being so  :smart:  to take drawing before painting.  I did the opposite and just returning to drawing in past year.  You are doing it the right way. You will love Nolan and Dennis.  No better fellas around and they can draw and paint too ;)  Your landscape is perfect.  Keep showing us what you produce.  Funny about the  tree stories.  I think mine fell behind the frog and I dare not retrieve it!
