How sweet and fun is that, mea? I love that you were able to do a sketch over lunch and give it away.  :smitten:

Great drawing!

Hum... drawing on the bus, while sitting still, during football, while watching TV, during lunch.

Bet you draw in your sleep or at least dream of drawing 😊
Cheers, Annie

Thanks, Kathy S.  I tell all who ask that I learned to draw quite recently and then tell them to go to Paintbasket.com and they can learn to draw, too!

Thanks, Annie.  Oh, yea, always plotting my next sketch day and night.

Hmmm..  just bought some shrimp for dinner.  Maybe I'll sketch those.

Today's sketch is a shrimp.  Could have done a better job of blending, though.

Comments appreciated.

Tasted delicious in a stir fry tonight.

Love that you love sketching.  Isn't it addictive?  The tulips are beautiful and great to see that you really did your own thing with them  The shrimp is just the best.  Looks like charcoal!

Thanks, Lynn.

The shrimp was done with my usual Tombow high precission drafting pencils.  Then it was done in a cast-iron wok!  YUM!

Thanks, Patricia.  Yup, practice is so important.

JayJ - Thanks.  I am amazed at my progress.

Hi Mea, I absolutely love your little sketches :smitten: , and it is fun to see how much you progress not only in drawing but also in size. Your first little sketches where just that, very cute but tiny sketches and now they are wonderful small drawings. I love to see how your confidence grows with every sketch. Looking forward to see more of your daily sketches  :flowers:

Thanks, Riya. I am getting such pleasure out of doing these sketches.

Must tell the truth, Kathy S, the shrimp I had for dinner had no heads so had to use a photo for the sketch.  Used the real shrimp as models for the contouring and placement of legs, antennae, etc.

Fiona - oh, the shrimp stir fry tasted so good.  Had red, yellow, and orange sweet pepper slices, carrots, onions, garlic, and celery in the stir fry.  Avocado oil and butter to fry it all, and mustard greens wilted into it so that I did not have to make a separate salad.  Oriental spices for flavoring.  Served over somen noodles!
