Nolan, I'm enjoying these mm classes even more than I expected! Thank you for offering them.
Some things I used are metallic acrylics and inks, part of a Christmas decoration and a Christmas card.

Oh, Denise, this is really beautiful.  Definitely fits your style.

I am going to take a look at the lesson today and see if I have the materials to do it.  If not, I will make a trip to town.

Oh, it is just beautiful.   You've set a very high bar here.

Well, I got the concept but my execution was way over the top.  I really didn't have the right materials so had to improvise - again.   My colors are kind of loud.

Actually, the more I look at it, the better I like it.

I think that the techniques here for unique portraiture could make some really salable works.  I might try something less colorful to do one for my little 16-month old neighbor.

One problem I ran into was that the color on my photocopied (HP inkjet)  picture ran, giving me a swath of red hair and face.

Please feel free to offer constructive criticism.  I know this needs some.  I don't get discouraged.  Like all the other lessons, I now know how to make something look far better the next time.

Thanks, Nolan, this is really an exciting lesson.

Mea, I think you have done a splendid job in taking the initiative and making it "your own".  Great job for sure.

great job Mea, well done - I love the "African" colours :heeha: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Just use a bit of the orange / yellow to fade the hard line at the bottom of the photo away. The rest is fine as it makes you stand up / out from the background, but at the bottom you want that fading away effect O0
