So I put my pink sunset on my Facebook page and I now have not one but two commissions!   :yippee: :yippee: One is a painting of a little girl's name with either butterflies, daisies and hearts or an owl  ;D and the other is a stream and native bush and ferns  8)

I am 20% excited  :yippee: :smitten: and 80% freaking out    :-\ :o

Luckily I don't have to rush them, so I will do some more lessons and take my time and ask you wonderful supportive friends for lots of suggestions

A question totally of topic, can other PB members still get the [more] emoticons I only get the ones on the first page now so I can't choose the big welcome, hair pulling, hands praying, off topic etc etc. the page just says blank, who stole them  :knuppel2:

I tried to clear my cookies and history and that hasn't helped either. I feel so limited and bland  :2funny: ;D ;D
Aroha! Lisa :-)

ISTR that you use an iPad. I've just tried on mine and have the same problem - a blank page.
They still work on PC and Android.

Still work on my PC , but only 2 icons from the second page show on my Android.

Congratulations Lisa!

This is fantastic, no need for panic.  Just start slowly, get input from BP, and keep going, when you are happy show it to your clients.  If you get stuck, pause, do a lesson, and get back to it.

It is good you are not on a timeline, first few commissions likely take longer to do... as with the rest practice, practice, and practice.
Cheers, Annie

Way to go, Lisa!!!  Hope this commissions are the start of many more.

As for emoticoms, I rarely use them as I think the weight of them will sink the whole Cyberworld.

No need to panic - just take them one at a time and you'll be fine. Here's to many more commissions coming your way.

Mazel tov, Lisa!! I know these will just be the first 2 of many more commissions to come. I can't say enough how important social media (for me, that's Facebook) is for an artist interested in making sales. So glad you took the plunge.  And soon you'll be 80% excited and 20% freaking out! Just take it one step at a time and post them for us to see - I know with my commission work, having the PB input has been invaluable. So proud of you!n :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Cheers,
Sharon

:heeha:   Congratulations Lisa!!!  :yippee:   The first one sounds like a fun one no worries for you with that one.  O0   You've been doing such great work, I don't see any difficulties with the second. I'll check my crystal ball if you like.......  ^-^

So we won't see any of  :pullhair: (you have such lovely hair), perhaps a little of   :goofy: that's allowed, I do it all the time!

We are all here if you need a word or three.... you're going to do great!  :cheering:
Cheers, Val

Congrat Lisa on your commission that is so exciting.  It is a bit scarry at times but take a big breath and dive right into it because you can do it.   Have fun and enjoy doing it.
Ps I also have trouble with icon, my whole screen on my ipad has gone crazy pictures all over the place.
