My name is Judy and I am in South Louisiana.  I found this wonderful PB site while watching painting tutorials on You-tube.  I spent a lot of time admiring everyone's artwork on PB and finally decided to sign up for classes.  About a year ago I started taking some local art classes and began drawing classes and then on to charcoal and pastel work.  I love doing dog portraits but want to learn more about watercolor and eventually oil painting.  Dennis is a great easy to understand tutor and I look forward to learning more.
Happy Painting,
Judy

Judy--I live in New Orleans and you are not far away.  You will love this sight.  Much to learn and Dennis as well as Nolan are superb!!.  Do you belong to the Degas Pastel Society?  I am thinking about joining.  Good luck here and hope to see some of your work!

:bigwelcome: Hi Judy       Welcome to PB! If you are new to drawing or would just like a kickstart, the 'Let's Draw' course is the place to start. It will move you along as quickly as you want to go, and you'll be oohing and awing at how quickly you learn techniques and progress.  :heeha: The great thing here is everyone works at their own speed, no punch clocks or timeouts. Plus, you have the benefit of all of the members to help cheer  :cheering: you along and help through any rough bits.  :yippee:

I'm not the least bit biased, (just so you're aware  ::) ) you have made the perfect choice in learning about w/c .... then oils.     Dennis will take you down an incredible magical journey. Lots of fun and comradery. Of course oils are fun too.... but they're a slippery lot!  >:D    :2funny: Nolan will take you on yet another amazing journey.  Oh, and the pastels!!!! Wonderful pastels! You are going to be very busy!  :painting: :run: :painting:

Come often and enjoy, don't forget to post your works and masterpieces, and most of all.... HAVE FUN!!!  :yippee:
Cheers, Val

:welcome:  Judy, you have come to the right place to learn and have fun while you are learning. We have fantastic tutors in Dennis and Nolan and our members are the best you could find anywhere.  So welcome to our PB family and don't be afraid to shout if you are in a fix and need some help. There is always someone available to chime in and give you the help you may need. Looking forward to seeing your work.    Patricia

Hi Judy...I am in Mississippi, just South of Jackson. I love PB and the members are wonderful. Nolan and Dennis make the learning experience so comfortable and not intimidating at all. I am picking up my brushes after a 25 year hiatus, and started my first oil  painting today. I plan on following the lesson plan to the letter, and put away any of my pre conceived notions and bad habits.  I look forward to more of your work. Cosmos is very well done.
