Not sure if this is the right place for this one - I took the lesson on acrylic and applied the method to my favourite medium of pastels and this is the result  :) Me being acrylically challenges you understand - can't get to grips with them  :)

Instead of painting the canvas orange, I just used an orange pastel paper and went about it using the techniques Dennis showed in the video. Not sure if it looks like a sunset mind, but working on a complimentary paper was interesting especially as you can still see the paper showing through in places.

Thank you Dennis for an interesting class which I challenged myself to reproduce in a completely different medium  :flowers:

As always comments. crits and suggestions are most welcome

Cheers

Wow, Fi, you did a marvelous job on this.  Love the orange underglow!

Thank you everyone for your positive comments - it's always much appreciated  :) I really had fun doing this one and I think it's one of my favourites so far. I'll have to go trawling through the other classes now and see if there's anything else that grabs me  :)

Beautiful job, Fiona. It is soft and relaxing with the lovely colors, and the detail is great. Terrific!
(I kinda tend to pastel now, too. I keep trying with the acrylics, and I love my w/c, but pastels really are so rewarding.)

:thankyou: Tousabella  You are so right when you say that pastels are rewarding and I find them really forgiving too. Mistakes are east to rectify or erase  :)
