Thank you PB members  :thankyou:

Remember the post 'what is your dream vacation?  I am making my dream come true.  As the saying goes 'stop talking, just do it'.

Not one month of vacation, but starting a one year leave from work for personal educational development.  That is the official term  ;) .

In practice, we will be spending time in various places (US, Europe, and Japan), sightseeing (museum, here we come), seeing friends, etc.  Husband will be working at various institutions, but I plan to draw and paint at various locations with our daughter.

I hope to work through my lessons on PB and make it as much as possible about learning to create art, enjoying other's art, and about international friendship.

Did I ever say thank you for all the richness and enjoyment PB brought in my life?

 :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:
Cheers, Annie

Wow Annie--how great to do what you really enjoy--you are brave to make a dream come true!!!  Take lots of photos and share some here .  I love armchair travel :)   By the way, love your Avatar (is that what you call it?)  I recall adoring that painting.

Thank you Lynn.  First thing I plan to do is to buy a reasonably good camera.  Hopefully they are more affordable in the US.

The avatar was my first 'non-copy cat' painting, so I trust I can claim copyright and use it as I pleased.  It was one of Val's monthly challenge and it was supposed to be a loose painting of poppies.  I did not understand what loose really meant at the time... but being my own creation made me feel good.  Now I fell good again, just hearing that you remember it.   Many thanks for your kin words, it really encourage me to learn more about painting.  :flowers:
Cheers, Annie

I agree Annie, your poppy painting is still one of my favourites.    You own the copyright to your personal creations so yes indeed, you may do as you please with them.  O0

The adventure started, arrived in Colorado this week and I already set an art area in the garden for my daughter and myself... nobody is going to keep us indoor in this great warm weather.

I just posted my 'painting silver' pot in the Forum.  I haven't done any painting in the last few months and feel like I had forgotten all I had learned already.  I forgot the paint buster and the value scale at home, so will look for a printing shop next week to get a copy (since I did not bring a color printer either  ::) ).
