wow I can't believe that your year has ended, it went too quick :'(

You have progressed and have clearly enjoyed it so that is all that matters - make this not an ending, but a beginning of even more awesomeness O0

 :thankyou:  Nolan
:thankyou:  All for your kind replies, and words of encouragement and support.  I would not have made it pass the first class without you... and would never had in my wildest dream pick up a watercolour brush.

Yes, painting will remain work in progress and, hopefully, for a very long time.  This year showed me that it was time to grab more of the wonder of life and nature, by learning more about art.  I will work less hours in the hope of painting more... well, at least this is the plan. ☺
Cheers, Annie

It's a great plan Annie... but like most great plans it's the implementing that makes us  :crazy2:       ;)

Sure hope to see more of your art Annie,   You should retire and enjoy art full time. It is great.

Val,
I am determined to cut down to 20-25 h work week and have made the arrangements to implement this.  But as you said keeping the cap over time will be a challenge, saying 'thank you but no' to work is difficult.

Danielle,
I am active painting but I paint only a few hours a week and I am also very slow when I paint.  I post my paintigs on OAL, I don't think you join.  But I wonder if I should also post them here on PB...   I was trying to be mindfull not to create duplication work for the tutors, as I really wish for their input.

Annie, I post on both. Dennis or Nolan will usually respond on one or the other.

Danielle, I post on both forums. A number of our PB members are members of OLA. I'm delighted with it as I have access to all the classes in all the mediums.  :painting:

Annie - getting caught up on Forum news and I'm stunned that your one year for adventure and art is finished - dang, where did the time go?!? I can't tell you how much I admire you for doing this, and how much you accomplished during this time period.  You're growth as an artist has been so much fun to watch these past 12 months - and I love that you've come to my side of PB - watercolors!! I'm glad you'll be prioritizing your daily hours to be sure that art continues to play a major role in your life...Welcome back to work...now figure out how you can retire early so you can paint, paint, paint!
Cheers,
Sharon

Thank you so much Sharon!   Yes, the year went very fast but I had fun and as I said I would have no problem finding activities if I was to retired now... just need to work an other 9 years but part-time, assuming life is on my side.

It is also hard to believe that I join PB 2 years ago.  It has become such a big part of my life and is greatly contributing to my quality of life and general well-being.

And thank you very much Kathy, Val, Danielle, and Mea (from some there else)... I started posting on both sites.  I have posted the WC, and will do the Oil when I have a chance.

You guys are all great!
Cheers, Annie

I will remember that  ;) ... but I am in no rush to reach 70.  It was 6.5 years full time or 9 part time... no brainer.

Well not so easy to find time to paint, with 2 water leaks to repair and all the little joyful curveballs that life through at us...

Today we had our first snow, so instead of finishing cleaning up the garden I thought it was a great occasion to start the class on Painting Snow in oil.

Hope all is well South with Matthew.
Cheers, Annie
