 :thankyou: KATHY   :thankyou: VAL

WC is so different and facinating.  It is so dry here... lots of adjustment needed.  :smitten:

I almost walked on a rattlesnake... but someone scream and I frooze just in time.   :heeha:   First I saw outside a zoo.  But it is a little one, nothing like PJ adventures.

Of course this was a first for me.  I took a whole bunch of photos, just kept my toes at a distance... and elected to wear runners and jeans intead of sandals and shorts since.

P.S. if it had been a tarantula, I probably had run all the way back to the car and lock all the doors!!!

:heeha: Such a lovely specimen! Looks healthy too. So glad you took pictures and let it continue on its way.  O0

If you are walking or hiking in areas where rattlers are known to frequent, best to wear leather hiking boots (above ankle) and loose fitting long pants.

Your response to a tarantula pretty much mimics my loving darling's response to snakes! Mind, living with me he has improved a bit!  ;)

Thanks a million Val.

I do have hiking boots as this is what we wear to hick in the mountains all year round.   Just never thought to bring them with me in Colorado... this is in the middle of the US after all!.  I was totally ignorant, as I thought those wonderful creature were only living in the South of the USA.

In Canada, we also have black widow and recluse spiders... but they are very rare.  I better brush up on tropical and semi-tropical venomous creatures before my next outing south!

Dear Dennis, Nolan, PB staff, and PB fellows,
Well my year of art and adventure officially ended today.  The concept of this 'free' year was a direct breed from me joining PB.  It opened my eyes to wanting to do something special for one year, something very different from what my constructed life had been so far.

Although this is a statutorial holiday in Canada today, I was back at work tidying loose end and getting ready to go back to work.

I had a great year.  Learned so much under Dennis and Nolan tutoring... even learned that WC is not only a wonderful painting medium but that it is accessible to people like me, if I only give it a try with an open mind.  I did and the results surprised me most than anyone else.

I have learned to 'let go of control' thru PB art classes... something I never thought I would accomplish.  I have no way to express all that PB have given me... art and beyond.

Oh and did I forget... I also learned to draw and paint! ☺

PB members had enriched and broden my social life like no other relations did before.  Yet, I hadn't meet anyone of you directly.  I hope I will in the next few years.

I have inroduced PB to a number of people, some joined in, but many others could not find the time.  It is their lost.

Intringing, considering that I totally bumped into PB accidently myself.

To Dennis, to Nolan, the PB staff, and to my PB friends and family (to many to name) my warmess thank you for the enrichment you have added to my life.  And yes, I will keep taking classes and chatting on the Forum.

 and  :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

:smitten: Annie what a precious and heartfelt post. When I first staring reading your post I was sad thinking that you were leaving PB because you had completed your year of adventure and art.  :'(    In the short time that I have been on PB, I have grown to really appreciate you and your support. It has been fun to learn to paint in watercolor along with you.   :painting: I'm so glad that you will still be with us.  :yippee:

Annie, what can I say

You have been a blessing to us all here on PB and very glad to hear that you enjoyed the year of experience.
Yes, we do our best to go beyond just teaching art. We have tried to build up a community that is the best on the internet. Without the active response from the members we would not have been able to achieve this cameradie that exists.

Thank you, Annie. This goes for all the members as well :flowers: :thankyou: :urwelcome:

Annie, you have been an absolute treat to have here this past year. Your contributions to PB and its members are all truly appreciated.

Watching you progress and grow in your artistic abilities has been great fun and I know you will continue to expand your horizons.  :cheering:

Your painting of loose poppies is still one of my all time favourites (but we'll keep that to ourselves  ;) ).

Isn't it wonderful!!  :heeha:   We have our very own Annie Mary Poppins!!!  :yippee:

Beautiful post Annie, I too have enjoyed following your progress and while I have been busy and unable to get on PB as much as I use to, I always try to catch up on what you have been up to. Thanks for your ongoing support.  :1hug:

Oh my goodness gracious me! (learned that expression from a dear Sweedish friend, and love using it).

Please don't talk of  me in the past tense yet.  I am very much alive and kicking.  Yes, I just wanted to expressed my warmest thanks to all of you.  Nice to hear that I also contribute and can offer support.

You guys rock!  :yippee:
