Thanks, Sally.  I just matted four of them with colored mats.  Look really pretty.

I have a large one (11" x 14") to do for our State representative who is the champion of developing a hemp industry in Hawaii.  I think I am going to try to make it like the lighter (yellowy-gold) one like I did today.

:heeha: These are fabulous Mea!  :yippee:    I'm envisioning one of these with light coloured sunset sky, turquoise waters in that lovely abstract style. So many combinations to choose from... this really is exciting!!! I can just imagine the impact of a large scale version.  :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:
Cheers, Val

Mea, these are looking great!!!  :yippee:

I like Val's suggestion about trying some sand, sea, and sky backgrounds, using the same style.

The white pen I have been using is a Sakura Gelly Roll. It has a metal tip, and the ink flows well. I got a 3-pack at WalMart. You can also order them on Amazon:

I did two 11 x 14" hemp paper acrylics of my Ghost Palms today, hoping to get one good enough to make prints from.  Getting close, but not there yet.

What do they still need?

I like the bottom one best but it has a triangular tear in the paper (left side - just below half way down).  I had tried doing the plastic wrap on the wet paint to give it the crinkly look, but the wrap pulled off the paper.  So, I am going to use this one as my display model in my home  - marked "Not For Sale."

Aw, sorry about the tear. I agree that the bolder colors look better. More contrast.

Hi Mea, these look great, but I do like the bottom one a bit more. I think it would also look great on a coffee mug.

Mea I love both your paintings but do agree, that the bottom one is more vibrant and therefore outstanding. Pity about the tear in the paper.  Also, Barry had a good idea about it being on a coffee mug.

There are so many companies now that an artist can use to produce products with images of one's art: tote bags, T-shirts, note cards, coffee mugs, shower curtains, luggage tags, etc etc.

As you know, Mea, the one I use is Fine Art America. They handle all the production, payment details, and shipping.

Other companies that make things are: Zazzle: http://www.zazzle.com/create] http://www.zazzle.com/create

and Cafe Press:  http://www.cafepress.com/ Cafe Press has an amazing array of products.

Well,  ??? I guess I'm the odd one out.... I prefer the top one. I like the vibrancy of the colours in the second one, but I like the technique of the first one better. Not much help here Mea.... I guess I like them both...  :-\ ...but I do prefer the first one!  :D

Thanks, Val.  I actually tweaked the top one today and made it more vibrant.

Mary Lou - Thanks, so far I have done more than 12 Ghost Palms in all different sizes.

Susan - Thanks for the suggestions.  I tweaked the best one and sent it to VistaPrint to have 150 postcards made.  Gotta start somewhere.  I have signed up for Fine Art America and will probably start there after I see how the design looks on the postcards.

Thanks, Patricia.  Actually because I used hemp paper, the water and acrylic paint rebonded it, so the tear doesn't show unless you know where to look (and I won't tell!).

Thanks, Barry.  Hmmmm...mugs!!!  If I make some, I'll send the first one to you!
