How very wonderful....looks like an exciting day!!  I sure send lots of love and good luck!!  I'm so very proud of the beautiful work you do, and the unique subjects you 'gather from the crystal ball'!!  This is wonderful, Sharon.

Back home after my show tonight - and it was very well attended - about 125 people! Total sales (pre-show plus tonight) were 8 - not bad for a night when most folks were at the state fair or at the big soccer game in town. I'll be making a donation to the nonprofit beneficiary for about $600 as a result of this show - which is the best part!
Cheers,
Sharon

Just back from a week in Chicago and have been spending this week gearing up for my show tomorrow - see first flyer. This non-profit, My Sister's House, provides a safe haven for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse and/or human trafficking. They were one of my clients from my event planning days - in fact, they were my final client when I did my last event 2 years ago. I'm so honored they've asked me to be the featured artist at their event tomorrow night at a very respected gallery in town. I'm donating 50% of the net proceeds of any art sales. I'll only have about a dozen pieces for sales - mostly items under $200 - although I do have a pre-sale of a giclee print of my Sather Gate painting - so nice to start with a red dot!

On Aug 15th, my husband and i will co-emcee this second event, Uncorked for the Arts, to support Development Disability Service Organization. They provide art programs for people with disabilities - a wonderful organization. In fact, my husband and I and our dog Cabo, did a video for them earlier this year for a contest and it came in first place and they won $750! I'm donating my "Señora on the Malecon" painting for their silent auction...

Bottom line - I've been so busy with the preparations for this I've done zero painting - and we're heading back to Chicago on Monday for more training - so hopefully by mid August I'll be picking up the brush again!
Cheers,
Sharon

You know where I stand  :yippee: ... right there in your shadow cheering you on.  :cheering: Both of these are such wonderful causes. Thank you so much for taking them on. You are a superstar.  :1hug:

I'd give you a preview with the crystal ball ... but ... it's in the pile somewhere!!!  :2funny:

Safe trip and enjoy Chicago, look after that foot!  :injured:
