:heeha: This is brilliant news Sharon. I am so pleased for you.  :yippee:

 >:D Isn't it great to be an unschooled artist with no formal training?      :2funny:     You sure showed them.  :congrats:
Cheers, Val

I'm very much schooled, Val, thanks to the wonderful school of paint basket! Other artists may brag they trained in Florence or New York,  but I'm quite honored to have trained online with Dennis and the PB gang!!! And my sales numbers are better than most of them too!! But that's why I continue to donate to nonprofits. So far my art has allowed me to contribute over $16,000 to nonprofits in 2.5 years. Nothing makes me prouder!
Cheers,
Sharon

That's such an attractive flyer Sharon! Congratulations on all your sales.
It makes me so happy that you are successful painting the way you want and it's helping others. Love WIN WINs like that!!!.

You are our Summa Magna Cumlaude grad of the Paint Basket Art School of NZ   :smart:

You have become a role model, not only as an artist, but also as a wonderful caring person with your charity work  :yippee:

I've just read the most recent comments on this subject - recent being since March. My apologies for not having responded - these words are so inspiring to me right now. And Dennis - I love your quote - it really touches my heart. My next show, Aug 24th, will benefit a nonprofit called My Sister's House. They provide a safe haven for Asian women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. Last year at their show, 12 paintings sold and I was able to donate nearly $1200 to them. I'm hoping the same will happen this month - although I won't be there in person (they'll have a gung-ho person on their board to be my sales person.) Again, I'll be donating 50% of the net proceeds to the nonprofit...keep those fingers crossed!
Cheers,
Sharon

While it's always nice to have the "Artist in Residence" at an exhibit, by now your paintings seem to sell themselves.

Just read through all these messages which I missed. Bless your kind heart Sharon for donating to those who will have hope when there seemed to be no hope and as Dennis' quoted Scripture states clearly, give and you will receive.

Thanks Mea and Patricia! And it's always more fun to hand over the donation check to the nonprofit then what I deposit in my bank account!
