So I posted this on the new website, but since it doesn't show up on a forum there I doubt anyone knows I completed this...thus why I'm now posting it on the PB site. Anyway...this was one of the most difficult classes I've taken from Dennis - there is a lot going on in this lesson and in the painting! I got carried away with the masking fluid in the beginning - way too many to cover up and they're all over the place. This was a very humbling class which made me realize how much more I still have to learn. So while I'm not fond of the end results, I'm very appreciative of the lesson.

Cheers,
Sharon

Patricia--You are brave.  This looks so tough.  Very well done indeed.

Natalie--I like your strong colors.

Sharon--It has a batik look with the masking fluid.  I like it--sorta abstract.  Great to see how many ways to make gray also--each so different.

 I'm getting lazy in my old age! I just copied over my comment from the Online site....

Fantastic Sharon, the rhino is excellent. I think you have done a great job with the grasses and trees. As Dennis has mentioned, that dark patch to the side of the rhino is the one real distraction. Other than that you’ve done a banner job!
Cheers, Val

Thanks Lynn and Val - and I've posted the redo painting on the online art site...hoping there will be a forum soon on the new site so I don't have to post paintings twice! Also I don't get notices when someone comments on my postings on the new site - any idea if that will happen or should I just check my posts regularly?
Cheers,
Sharon

Sharon, we are in the process of having a new forum designed for us that will fit this new site setup. Unfortunately we cannot move the old forum over.

Good to see your work again, Louisa.

You did a very good job on this.  It's not too dark on my screen.  Love the warm golden glow of it all.
