I'm still laughing at my tree, everyone else put leaves and a top on it. I just did a trunk, maybe I had trunk on the brain because I was knitting an elephant for a new baby arriving soon.  :2funny:
And the trees in the lake with a tiny boat look like tall cacti. It reminded me of the road trip to Reno NV from
Sierra foothills.

And here they are...  just saw your post.

Your tree trunk is nice, looks like those trees from the burned forest in Yellowstone Park. Your berries are really good.

What a great start!

I did the same thing on the challenge painting with just the artist knife - my first one was a couple of trees with no leaves - looked like the bristle pine cone trees - must be a Marsha thing.

Annie's right - your berries are fantastic!

Marsha A,

I take it the tree is the BEFORE tree.  You are brave.  I don't think I ever posted mine - it was so bad!

Your seascape is good, but maybe the water could be a bit darker.

Love the shine on your berries.  You have ramped up a notch!!

Thank you each for your encouragement.

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha. Do people wear out your name toooo?

I felt good about my berries, I'm happy it wasn't just me.

Mea, That is my 10 minute tree. I like drawing trees, hoping to learn more about them. Thought about darker water but when I tried it it looked disturbing.  :crazy2:

Annie, it does look a bit charred doesn't it?

  :thankyou:

:2funny: So that would make it a nice charred tree!
Keep you good sense of humour and you will do wonderful.  There is also a landscape course which I plan to do after I finish this course, because I am attracted to landscape painting.  I work very slowly, only about 2h per week... so the 28 day course will takes me 28 weeks... actually it will be even more

Keep it up, it is also fun to go back and see how far you have come from.
Cheers, Annie
