Here is my cup. I don't think I like doing cross hatching. I find it difficult to do. but I will keep practicing it.
To me I think it is just eaiser to shade the picture.    :(

Cross hatching does take some practice to get right, but once you do, then it becomes a quick way of getting a scene down on paper, especially if you are drawing outdoors or want to make a thumbnail sketch to check values.

There only one small adjustment to you cup that I would make and that is the curve of the coffee in the cup - it currently curls in just a little too quick on the left hand side. I have raised it for you in the pic below so you can what it should look like. What you want is the rim and level line of the coffee to follow each other or it will look like the rim of the cup is not level. Hope that makes sense?  :crazy2: Let me know  ;D
