:thankyou: Mea, AJ, Sue, Jay, Sherri,  Patricia and Sharon for your encouragement and lovely comments.

Sharon i really love yours,  it looks dramatic, i like the fact that it is darker, makes the light show more.   I think I might add some more tonal value.

Patricia sorry for your computer crash,  my husband lost many of his photos many years ago. Now we have an external hard drive.   You might be able to regain all you photos from your PB album.

Sherri, I understand what you mean so many classes.  But the only way to do it is to do one medium at a time, then it is more manageable, at least this is what I have done.

Sue,  I am glad i kept on going, I think I was very tired yesterday.

Both you ladies did fine work on this.

Sharon, I think someone is staring at us through that knothole in the middle of the painting.

Thanks, Danielle - and it would be fun to see your painting after you darken it a bit to see which is more effective. Mea - one never knows who's staring at us behind the a scary window!
Cheers,
Sharon

I decided to start the lantern tonight.  My eyes just gave out so will finish it in the morning.

Gotta be at my best to try to even reach the bar that Sharon and Danielle have set.

Danielle and Sharon....WOW...they are wonderful.  I love the shadows, old wood, and the effect of the lighting.  They are awesome.
It is a little intimidating with so much 'dark' to start with....but it sure comes together beautifully.
Great job, girls.  Love them!!    :flowers:     :flowers:

:thankyou: everyone! Mea - can't wait to see your rendition!! Retta - the nice thing about this painting, it doesn't start dark - over time, with layers, the darkness develops. It's a great technique!
Cheers,
Sharon
