Is there a template for this, or are we "wingin' it"!!

Retta, we are not sending out emails at the moment because we do not want problems because some think we are spamming. Also because the lessons are not live anymore the need for template before the time, and because there is no "paint-along", it is no longer an issue.

Templates are available now with each lesson release in the form of a PDF which contains the reference photo, the finished painting and the template. This is available in the RESOURCE BOX just below the video itself.

Thanks, Dennis.  I miss your great company during the lessons, but I truly understand.

The reference picture won't come up, and...secondly...what are you using for a palette, Dennis?

Apologies, Retta. I had a coding mistake for the picture.  You should be able to access it now O0
The palette is just the lid of the plastic box containing all my paints with a sheet of copy paper taped to the inside of it :2funny:  It makes it easily disposable :)

I wondered about your palette when I saw the tape. It works great!!  A great class, Dennis. Enjoyed it thoroughly. I'm gonna have to wait til I can find some acrylic board. The paper I've gotten is really thin and so hard to tape down on my drawing board so that it is 'workable'. I'm going to try it for pastel.

Dennis I really enjoyed this one until I got to the river itself, all those deurmekaar water streams totally confused me.  :-X Mea I'm waiting for your comment.

Louisa,

Hmmm. What is that gingerbreadboy-like shape at the left?  Is that some strange South African shrub?

Nice variety in the mountains.  Knifely done?

The water needs some more contrast to offset the whiteness.

Just a few tweaks away from incredible work.

Excellent painting, Louisa    The snow is well done O0  Just add a few of the darker stripes to lift out the water streams. The river is at a low level and because of the flatness of the riverbed, the  water finds it way down via lots of break-away mini-streams. The bed is very pebbly.

Mea, this river is in the New Zealand South Island, in the Southern Alps.
