I have been looking forward to draw the horse, and now it's finally done :D The animals was so fun to do I just couldn't seem to stop drawing!  :P

Something about the shading looks a bit off  to me, but I can't figure out what it is...  ???

Ann-Mari,

The horse looks very good.

As for the shading, just compare one section at a time with the reference photo and you should be able to see where you need to darken it.

Keep on - you are doing so well.

your horse looks awesome
the tiger still needs some more shadings to show the roundness of the face - lighter tones on the sun side, darker tones on the shadow side and so on O0

Not sure if I like this one or not :P
Some tips would be greatly appreciated :)
Didn't put too much effort into the shading and details though  as I wanted to practice the VP's :)

Ann-Mari,

It's so good that you are practicing the basics like vanishing points.  I sort of skipped over that, so now I have to go back and learn it!

The one thing I do know is that vertical lines have to be straight up and down.  So check your chimney angle, it looks like it's sinking off to the right.

All your bricks and stones look so perfectly placed!

Thank u so much !:D O0 I think it is important to have the basics down, everything else becomes so much easier  ;D  You are absolutely right about the chimney ! :O I didn't even notice before you said it  :thankyou: Sometimes you get so lost into the lines in the drawing so close up, you don't even notice how it really looks until a while after  :P

WOW, Ann-Mari, you're just sailing through the drawing course! Great that you're so motivated!  You remind me of when I started taking art classes.  It was when I had two babies 23 months apart.  The once a week class was a wonderful break and kept my sanity!  But later I had a career and left art; I found Paint Basket a few years ago.  You're in the best company ever!

I just recently found out I can draw more Than a stick figure, so i looked at everything I could find online about improving my drawing skills, and Then I found paintbasket!!  I'm so happy :D I have fybromialgia so I haven't been able to Get an education yet, and I'm struggeling to find a job I can manage, but now I really hope I can do something within art :) when my baby gets a bit older I'm going to find out more about it :) until Then I'm just going to enjoy drawing and enjoy learning as much as I can ^^

When I'm done with the let's draw course I'm going to purchase the pencil drawing members club and get started on that. Paint basket is a blessing and I really love it! Nolan is the best teacher ever ^^

Ann-Mari,

Much success with your new adventure in life.  A baby and art.  What could be finer!  Yes, learning to draw is a life changer.  I carry my sketchbook with me everywhere.
