Wow, this is some beautiful work so far Ann-Mari :heeha: :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
Just the scumbled fish - the transitions on the body between the darkest tone and the mid tone are too quick which then forms a hard edge. A hard edge tells your eye you are either seeing a corner or sudden colour charge. So always be careful of that O0

O0 You're making doing great drawings, Ann-Mari!  It's good that you're not afraid of using dark tones that make for  contrasting values and nice work!  :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:

very hard to take good pictures with the phone, but it'll have to do :)  Thank you very much for all the positive feedback! :D I was very skeptic about posting my drawings, because I guess I'm not too confident in my drawing skills. All of you who think I'm doing a good job really boosts my confidence :D  :thankyou: And I really appreciate some tips on how to make my drawings better! :)

Well I hope I can get it right this time, so if I do here is my newest work :)

Ann-Mari

You have done well on this, which I consider to be the hardest of all the drawings in the Let's Draw course.  Stick with it, you are making good progress.

great job, especially on the plate :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I also like how you have textured the table :heeha:

You can add a bit more contrast to the koru O0

Tank you, Mea and Nolan! :)

I found it to be very time consuming, needed a few breaks :P

I really liked the scumbling  technique, I learnt on the fish, which is what I did on the table. It's just so fun, and it's so different than just the normal back and forth texture. :D

I see what you mean Nolan, I will try to get it better! :)

And Mea you are always so positive, and give so much good feedback, to everyone it seems, how do you find the time?! :O :D admire you for being such a good inspiration :)

Ann-Mari,

Thank you.  I am retired so have a good deal of time, no grandchildren, and my family live 5000 miles away.

I enjoy visiting with people on the forum - it's like having friends in for tea (or a glass of wine).
