This is from morguefile.   I think the two upper windows on the left are a bit wonky...but my husband and friend didn't notice anything when I showed them the painting and asked if something didn't look quite right...They both said they didn't notice anything...Not sure I can fix them anyway unless someone can suggest a way to fix them.

   Oh! Mary Lou, I get so excited when I see you doing your pen and ink masterpieces.  This is where your forte lies ... you are just so good at them and it is delightful to see you doing them again.

Beautifull pen and ink/wash   ,,i would add just a bit more value in the water near the edge of the paper to give it more perspective.

Mary Lou,

Sure looks good to me.

The only window that does not look right to me is the one on the bottom right.  It looks recessed into the bricks on its left bottom side.  Maybe if the bottom of the window were straight instead of angled, it would not look recessed.

The people in the gondolas are so well drawn!!

Thank you Patricia, Robin, Danielle, Zach, Christine and Mea.   I appreciate your comments so much!  I love doing these.   Mea, I am not sure how I could change the windows..Danielle, Thanks I will add more value ...and I will re-post.

Here is the revision.  I added more color to the left building and darkened the water at the bottom a bit.   Today is quite sunny so when I took the picture, it is much lighter in appearance than it was yesterday...anywho, here is the revision and hope it looks better:

Mary Lou the problem with your windows is the perspective. Since it is in ink I am not sure how you could fix it, except do another one. Put I like all your colors and gondolier.  O0

Thanks Nina and Natalie.  I think I may have a fix for those wonky windows.  I always mess up with the perspective :tickedoff: that is challenging to me.  I will see what I can do when I have some time again.

I like that you made the left wall darker, i did not notice much diference in the water but it looks great now.
