Sherri,

It's not bad, though.  I looked at yours, then Dirk's.  Yours has thicker lines, but it's still cute.

I'm sure if you redo it with the proper materials and implements, it will be fantastic.

I can see you were struggling to get the pencil to take on the paper, hence the thick lines. Having said that it is still a good drawing.

What you want to do when in that situation again is to forgo the detail and just make the drawing a nice and loose style by using broad strokes O0

Thanks everyone for the Mea, Natalie, and Patricia.

Nolan,  I sure was having trouble getting that pencil to take to that paper!!!  Never thought about foregoing the details!!  A unexpected learning opportunity!!!!

I finished this one tonight. I had problems with the paper--too many indents.  My pencils-I used Prismacolor Premier white (and black) colored pencils. I also used Prismacolor watercolor pencil but it didn't take very well. It wasn't as bright white.
Perhaps I'll get a poster board and try again. It didn't take all that long and went super fast when I got off the face.  Thank you Nolan.

I like your monkey, Carol.  The paper makes it look like every strand of hair is braided - cool.

Good work.
