:thankyou:  so much Marsha for your sweet comments and yes, yours will be better than mine.  You can do anything you put your mind to.  You are so right about bonding time with my grand-daughter, she is a real gift from God and has brought us so much joy.   Looking forward to seeing your baby's shoes.

Patricia made this look so inviting that I signed up for the class today.  Think this will make a nice baby gift.

No hurry, Nolan.  I have plenty else to work on, thanks to your sale.

Oh Danielle, those are such precious little baby shoes, reminds me so much when my children were young.  You did such a fantastic job rendering them.  God Bless, and take care.  :)

Patricia, I'm with Mea on this - "What a precious drawing.  If you can produce this good work BEFORE a lesson, I anxiously await what you will produce after the  lesson."

:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:  So much Mia, Robin and Marsha for your lovely comments.

Mia, you will not be sorry to have signed up for this lesson because it was so interesting  to do, even on my own but will be even better with Nolan guiding us.

Robin, no need to apologise for the name error, we all do it at some point, no worries.

Marsha,  you too, would be so engrossed with the baby's shoes as I was and as I have said before, I highly recommend it for I was kind of transported into another world ... it was a good form of escapism for me and was something I needed after the last month or two.

Patricia you have excelled yourself with this drawing I just love the way you have done those ribbons and to think you did not need to watch the video, also the shading on the booties is spot on  Well Done Pat    Ray  :smitten:

:thankyou: :thankyou:  so much Ray and Sally for your encouragement.  It is just so wonderful to get back to my art after what seemed like such a lengthy lay off.  I enjoyed the exercise and am looking forward to the lesson.

beautiful job Louisa :congrats:

just end of the far right bow - get the background the same tonal value, it is currently lighter around the tip of the bow causing a halo efect O0
