I only recently got a set of Pastels, and this painting I have called Oil seed rape, is the first painting I have done, I found them a great medium to work with.

Hi Bill, you appear to have taken to pastels quickly. When I took a look at your pic, I heard the voice of an instructor saying..you can make a sky too dark but never too light. Drop it in Gimp or some other program to see what happens if your sky should have a different value.

Hi Carol, thanks for your nice comment's and advice, I use Photoshop to do any work with images but the sky was only slightly darker than the image on the site, but not that much to panic about.
