My posting for this lesson. I thought this was going to be a simple lesson but instead found it very challenging!!  Feedback would be greatly appreciated

Very nice Sherri,   You may want to add some tonal value in the  bottom of the pupils.

Sherri,

Nice job on the petals. 

The background seems a bit scratchy.  I found that using a cotton ball (or even a piece of t-shirt) rubbed over a patch of a dark B pencil tracings, then smudged onto your paper makes a good background.  If you have access to the pencil drawing class on doing the lighthouse scene, it's the same technique that Nolan used to start the sky.

Hope that helps.  I used the same technique to add the basic color onto my anthurium before I added the shaded parts.

Yea I thought it was pistils but loved pupils instead so went with it!!   :D :yippee: :yippee:
