Oh Mea....I just got home from visiting for the holidays, and saw your beautiful painting.  Wonderful job, and the colors are amazing.  It's gorgeous.

:thankyou:  for the compliment Mea but I think it is the other way around .... I am trying to get as good as you. I can see such a huge difference in your painting, it is phenomenal.  Great stuff and so encouraging to see.   Patricia

Thanks, Nina, Patricia, and Retta.

Many of my friends want  this painting so I will probably be doing variations of it for quite a while.

Don't worry overmuch about trying to get the exact colours as Dennis. Even using the same paints as Dennis, chances are slim you'll actually be able to match. If both paintings were side by side the colours would still have differences. Just learn to work with the paints that you have. It's these little differences that make the painting your own. Find a brand you like and stick with it. Don't worry over perfect colour matching...just work on perfecting the techniques.  O0

Dennis, although these lessons are a bit slow to show through in my work ... I am at least learning on an intellectual level! I think!!!  ???     ;D

Many thanks

Since we'll be going to Hawaii in March, I decided to skip ahead to course lesson 4 to try my hand at the anthuriums.  Dennis - I have no idea how you paint these flowers in one sitting!! This was definitely challenging - and I loved every moment of it! Any suggestions for improvement are greatly welcome...
Cheers,
Sharon

Sharon, These are beautiful and I love the saturation of color.  I wish I knew what these looked like in person.  Maybe I'll google a bunch of pics before trying it.  You and Mea have set the bar high.

Excellent representation of the Anthuriums Sharron.  The shine on them is so well done.   :yippee:
