Thanks Denise, honestly I wanted to skip the foxglove because of the great job you and Mea did on yours.  I seem to have a bit of a heavy hand with color and I like your delicate touch.

Thanks Sharon, I know you will knock this one out of the park as always!

Doina, yes it is frustrating.  Seems I have noticed that anything with some blue in it seems to intensify in photos.  It may just be my imagination.

Thank you everyone for the an kind words. This encourages me to go further with the painting this coming week. I am in an uncomfortable zone: the green zone. I'll post more as I go  further. Thanks, :thankyou: :painting:

Lynn and Doina,

Lovely roses.  I am looking forward to doing this lesson again, not that I see how you folks did yours.

Lynn,

Thanks for the compliment, but I have not gotten up the nerve to tackle the foxglove painting yet.  I did read the manual though.

I'll get there soon, Dennis.

    Doina, your rose looks like it is going to be gorgeous, can't wait for the completed painting.

    Lynn, your rose is beautiful too.  In fact, everyone has done such a great job.  Can't get to doing the course yet, still busy, busy, busy.

Can you enlighten me before I start my rose.     Please forgive me if I am wrong.

Looking at the pdf ref on the completed painting it looks like the rose is casting a shadow on some of the leaves.
