 Have you ever started a painting and realized that you did things 'bass-ackwards'?  Now the question is...what to do with it.
I decided best thing was to let it dry and then reassess the mess! OK, so its not too bad of a mess, I don't like some of the cloud shadow...but it looks like it could make an interesting mountain range in part of the background. I think I can manage that.  ::)
The sky colour was brought a bit too far down the page...so I'm hoping by using deeper tonal values I'll be able to cover some of it up...not going to work.  Would have to use darker colours than I wanted. Might just have to rethink the whole picture and paint a different picture all together.
This one will be a big surprise for all of us...me included!
Cheers, Val

Yes....  I just found out that my computer is kaput. They are pretty sure the hard drive is ok...probably the only thing that is so it should be ok to transfer to a new computer when I find one. :(
On the upside.... I did turn the ugly cloud shadow in to a mountain! It doesn't look half bad, even Lloyd liked it! Will continue on with it tomorrow as soon as I figure out what else to put in the picture....somehow the palmtrees and beach just don't cut it.  :D
