;D Greetings, I proudly present "Katie 3."  Thanks to this course, this is the best art work I've done and I thank Nolan for the guidance, support and encouragement he gave me during the 4 weeks of the course.  I sent some of my work to the sister who has been painting for 30 - 40 years, and she was thrilled with what I had drawn (she is the one who encouraged me to draw).  New students, I encourage you to follow the direction given in this course and "reap" the rewards of your work.

God bless you all

Hi Tom.... Didn't post the picture here.....not to worry, sometimes the excitement overtakes you. I've done the same thing myself!  ;D  I'll have a look in your gallery.
Cheers, Val

Hi Tom... Found it in your gallery. I lined up all three of your Katie drawings and you can see the progression. Well done Tom, doing famously.

Well done Tom.

Just the eyes need some  improvement. I suspect the photo you used was taken with a flash and the interior of the eyes have reflected back and made the eyes look very light. You are allowed to used your artist's license to do changes. I have made a very small, yet significant, change to the eyes - just a darkening of the iris and the glint on the eye. Just keep this in mind when drawing eyes and you will see a tremendous difference in your drawings.  Keep it up

Thank you all, I appreciate the input from Dennis about the eyes and Val for setting me straight on where to add my drawings.
