I'm still in a daze because starting Oct 8th, and for a month, I'll be the featured artist at a prestigious gallery in Midtown Sacramento. They've just finalized the postcard which will be mailed to several 1000's of recipients. It will begin with a private show that will benefit a local nonprofit that provides a safe haven for women of domestic abuse. Many of my paintings are based on the names of their safe house - these penguins are one such example.   I have to split the sales proceeds with the gallery 42.5%/42.5% and 15% to the nonprofit….but it's worth it for the publicity and credibility I'll receive in exchange.

None of this would have been possible if not for the amazing lessons I've learned from Dennis & Nolan as well as the enormously beneficial feedback from the PB community.  I can't thank you all enough! Of course, I'll be basket case the day of Oct 8th worrying if anyone shows up!!  Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned for updates!
Cheers,
Sharon

Wow Sharon-I know nothing of this kind of stuff, but it looks very 'polished' and professional to me!  Well done and good luck with your show!  O0

Thank you my friends! I just dropped off 10 pieces to the gallery. Will bring the rest by on Monday when I'll meet with the curator to price everything. Next step - the marketing!! Oh, and try to paint another picture or two between now and then!!
