You are right, why didn't I think of that. It's a sketch ... if I run out of ideas, I will paint it again.

Great w/c sketch Kedde. You already show you've picked up on a lot of the techniques. Well done, keep on

Tx Val, I assure you it's Dennis's brain that move my hands and the composition of the images we get to paint in the lesson's. Can I do it on my own, selecting the composition and execute colour mix, drawing the skies, trees, people? There is a lot to remember, but I'll take the time I need.

By the way Val, I have a maritime background too from childhood sailingboats and later on in my young adult life on "real" steamers sailing far east trade routes.

Kedde,

One of the drawbacks to our online friendships is that we are all so far away from each other.  Would be wonderful to all get together over a cup of tea or glass of wine and visit.  Would love to hear your steamer stories of the east trade route, Val's travels, and all the other wonderful life adventures that we all have had.

Yes! Would'nt it be great if it was easy to get together. We have painting in common, surely we would could exchange painting - and life stories.

Great sketch - and I agree, turn this into a painting! I lived in Denmark for 6 months after I graduated from UC Berkeley - I had an internship in Thisted. Loved the country, loved the people, loved the aquavit!
Cheers,
Sharon

Tx Sharon.  Fire-water (aquavit) and a sild (pickled herring on a piece of rye-bread), a good start on a lunch :). Door is allways open here for a good meal.
