I know what you mean, Sherri.  I have the deer painting partly done and want to do the bamboo, but life just keeps getting in the way.  Hope to get the done in the next few days.

Thanks everyone!!  I am finding that acrylics don't seem to be as bright and vibrant as oils!!  Anyone else feel that way or am I doing  something wrong!!

Sherri, I use acrylic gloss medium which brings out the shine and when I'm done I finish off the painting with acrylic gloss spray varnish.  The colors are vibrant and never dull.  :)

Mine is actually done in oils.  Am enjoying painting these flowers despite my initial misgivings.  Still cant follow lines though and when I get to painting them I always find mistakes!
