Dear Paintbasket Team,

What a pleasant surprise!   Recently, I signed up for the "Let's Draw' course but I did not expect to receive, in addition to the virtual course, a CD with all lessons and copies of the accompanying documents by Priority XPressmail.

It was send from Waltham MA, USA (a place in the suburb of Boston, very dear to my heart and that I actually visit every years since 1993!) all the way across the continent to Western Canada!

This is wonderful because now I can go on field trips (it is summer here) with a pic-nic and bring along the lessons where Internet access is not available.

Many thanks  :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

I don't know how you manage to offer this at such a reasonable cost.

Best regards, Annie
Cheers, Annie

:heeha: :yippee:   WOOT WOOT Annie!!! Paint Basket rocks all the way to Canader!!!
Jennylynn and Val and myself and a bunch of other nutty nuts took the "Let's Draw" course awhile ago and drove poor Nolan part way to crazy and back!!!! :2funny:  You will most definitely enjoy every minute of the course and I can tell you from experience how fantastic it is.    I couldn't draw worth a pinch of salt before I took the course and now, I am drawing portraits. . . .yep! Me, drawing portraits. . . . . .whoa!!!
I live to draw and paint, it a good thing that I don't have to draw and paint to live!

Thanks Bev.

I did the pre-test: draw your best tree.   At this time my assessment is that I would fail to safe my live if it depended on free drawing.  Not bad at copying from a grid.   Actually, when Nolan recommended that we use the metal stencil to erase small area... I remembered that I had an identical one over 40 years ago when I took an elective course in industrial drafting.   I actually found it (together with my slide-ruler!)... good memory of my teens flooded back.

I should take the time to proper introduce myself in the 'About Me' forum section... the Canadians are invading PaintBasket! :sneaky:

Thank you Bev, Val, Jennylynn, and Marie for your input.

I will try not to do any aggravation nor to drive Nolan crazy!

:nono:  Annie, you could never be an aggravation. As for driving Nolan crazy....I've been at it for a few years and he's still surviving so no worries there!  >:D    :2funny:

Just keep drawing and having fun and remember we're all here to help.      :yippee:

Dear Annie;

I purchased the CD and I love it, because I can refer to
it whenever I need a refresher.   Also, even though it is
suppose to be a 28 day course, I took about 45 days to
complete it.  No worries there as the CD waited for me the "Slow Pock"

Challenging but, a great learning tool.  Have FUN.
