Thanks Zilpa and Mea.  I posted this pic on my facebook page and was so surprised at how many of my kin folks thought it was a spitten image of her!!  Folks that don't see her all of the time!!  I will definitely try another portrait.

Thank you everybody for your encouragement.

you have done a wonderful job Sherri and with a bit more practice, you will be a great portrait artist. I suggest you now draw a few portraits before moving on so that the concepts and techniques can be cemented O0

Great improvements Sherri  O0  Don't sell yourself short, you've done wonderfully. Sometimes we are just 'too close to our subject', so we tend to see more of what others don't. Listen to those responses, they are more objective.

Job well done. Looking forward to your next one.

You did well Sherri, do not get discouraged, the more you draw the better it sinks in as Nolan says.  Anxious to see your other portraits.

Sherri ... your mom's portrait is stunning.

Further your studies in portraiture.  I truly believe you have the "touch" for it.

Again .... great work.  ♥        :yippee:

Thanks for everyone's praise and encouragement.  I am starting on another as Nolan suggested.  Just have not had time to do much the past couple of weeks.  Flew to Texas to attend my grandson's wedding.  Such a beautiful wedding.  He made such a handsome groom and of course the bride was stunning!!

Now to get back to my art.  Missed it!!
