Natalie, I'd have an ongoing saga....more like a travel log than a place for art!  ;D   I'll see what I can come up with.

Val,

A short blurb on each one will make your site more interesting as you have such great stories to tell.  Should be a great way to make the paintings even more appealing.

Go for it.

:congrats:  Val, Madam Artist Under Sail!

Well done with your Facebook page!  It's very attractive with all those lovely paintings.

I wish you swarms of visitors to your site!  You're on your way to becoming rich and famous!  :yippee:

One other thought - if a painting is available for sale - let folks know! Say for example "please message me if you'd like to add this to your personal art collection" or "this would look great on the wall of a child's room - let me know if you'd like more details!"  Sometimes folks might think you're just displaying your art vs trying to encourage a sale…never assume they know!
Cheers,
Sharon

Val it is under,  danielle potvin charette,  not much  except a few photos of my family and a bit of art.  You may want to see my son's art, you will see a selfie of him. The selfie is kind of scary but my son is not as hard looking as what he did.  He is a tattoo artist in Toronto and he does amazing tattoo, what can I say I am a proud mom,  he does what he love best. In my facebook you can see his art.

Thanks Zilpa, I am having some difficulties writing my 'artist' bit. I keep ending up with a blog about PB instead of me.....which isn't a bad thing....but doesn't really help accomplish the goal!   :crazy2:    :2funny:

Nicely done Val, have you considered getting prints made of your work? That way you can sell it may times over. I know you're stuck for space and resources but it could be doable. I set up an ETSY account to market my stuff and print copies on canvas inkjet paper using a photo quality printer I have. They come out great but aren't as durable as true printed copies. Economical though, and ETSY is very cheap if you don't fall for all their add-on marketing offers. You could refer shoppers on FB to your ETSY store and ETSY will take care of credit card purchases for you, https://www.etsy.com/shop/BrianDArt
I also set up a free website with WIX http://scouserl41.wix.com/brian-downing and have that on my business card that I hand out at events I attend.

Thanks much Brian, much appreciated. Unfortunately my biggest problem would be delivery of anything sold. Postal services down here are not especially trustworthy...or timely. I have thought about FAA, they do the printing and look after delivery as well. I'll look into that when we get back to the Rio, which should be within next couple of weeks if these storm fronts ever let up!

Thank you C., I have loads of new photos now so lots of new subjects to pick from....that might be a problem for me....takes me a while to settle on one. Will have to pick up the pace if this is going to succeed.  :run:
