  • SMILE, It's a brand new day!

I put up a facebook page, hopefully I won't run into problems as I did a few years ago. I've only put up a few works at this point as a test run. Folks back north have been after me to do this for years....they like to see what I'm up to artistically.  ::)

Still lots to do...

    Val, I took a look at your site on Facebook.  Looks great.  Don't know much about Facebook at all but I hope you sell some of your work as others have done.   Patricia

Thanks Patricia, it would be nice to sell something but I finally gave in as it was just too time consuming sending photos out via email. Now they will be in one spot and they can just send me a message if they so desire. Just makes life a little simpler.  :)

Thankyou much Natalie, I still don't know if I set it up properly. Seems to be working though!  ;D

Dear Val;

I had a look and it is soooooo colourful.  Your site name 'Artist under sail'
is very appropriate and one that is surly going to catch attention.
:gl:  and Congratulations on your launch!!!

Mazel tov on creating your FB page! It's such a great way to share your art, Val - if you sell something, terrific - but if not it's a wonderful way to let folks know what we've known for awhile - what a wonderful artist you are. One suggestion - tell some of your stories around each painting - such as Edgar. When people know a little more about the history of a painting they're usually more drawn to it.

Proud of you for entering the world of social media!!
Cheers,
Sharon

May Lynn, Nolan, Georgie, Sharon, and Danielle... thank you for taking a look, any suggestions are gratefully accepted. There are still a few things I don't quite understand but I'll sort them out as I go.  :D

What blows me away is how on earth did somebody in Hong Kong hear about my page?!  :heeha: Bizarre.

Thanks again for being so encouraging.

Really nice site Val.  It's bright and eye catching.  How talented you are and I agree, a story around each picture would make the site even more interesting.  Good luck with it!

Yes people from all over the world can see your work let alone your life so do not put all your personel info on it, not a good thing to do.  Some people put there day to day life doing.
Your facebook looks a bit different  than mine, when I wanted to comment on the like button it brought me to a site to register, don't know why.
Have fun playing with facebook.

Thanks Jill & Cyril.
I did put a short blurb on 'Edgar', maybe I didn't do it right.  ??? I'll have to take a look at it.

Danielle, it really is amazing how this all happens! I'm very hesitant about putting out too much info. Not sure what to put.

What do you call your page? I'd like to have a look if you don't mind.
Cheers, Val
