Sooooo. . . . . don't know if it's amazing or not, but here is the latest drawing of Dylan. please don't pay any attention to his hair as I have just sketched it in roughly, to give myself some idea of where I need to be.
And in living colour. . . .
All comments and criticisms are really welcome, for I feel I need more eyes on this one. . . . I think I've almost got it, but there's still something not quite right. . . . . .  :help:

Now I see. . . .boy is his hair ever out on the left side (our left) LOL!!!

great job Bev

Not an easy photo to draw from because the light is directly from the front. What I would do in a case like this is to "move" the light to the side so I can make one side of the face darker than the other. That will add more contrast / depth to the face

Thank you everyone. . .Patricia, Mea, Danielle, Val and Jill for your kind supportive comments. . . . I'm so happy you can see a likeness to Dylan's photograph.

Thank you Nolan, for the encouragement and for the great advice!  I never thought of "moving" the light source. . . what a tremendous idea! :heeha:

Dylan, finished. . . . .
Unless, any of you can see where I might make improvements!!

Nolan. . . .I took your advice and changed the direction of the light so it is coming from the right (our right) to left. . . do you think I need to lighten up the right side of his face some more?
