I am doing the bird that we did in class.  What happen I got a shiny spot and pastel would not go there.  What do I do for this?  Do I spray it with Fixative and carry on?    Can I put Fixative on a picture at any time?   :thankyou:

sweetpea, I've not had that kind of problem before. Try the fixative but don't over-spray and see what happens. Yes you can spray anytime - be careful some types of fixative can darker the work. Test on a separate piece of paper. It will go dark at first but if it dries lighter then you have the right fixative.

Is it a small or large area and in what part of the bird. Is it an oily patch or a pencil spot?
