I haven't announced this here yet, so :

Come join us for a free oil painting art course over the next 5 weeks. The course is actually 6 week long as the colour mixing webinar forms lesson 1 of the course.

Watch part 1 here -http://www.paintbasket.com/paintbaskettv/index.php?replay=1

Part 2 of our FREE oil painting course.

Your tutor for todays show will be Nolan Clark

Today we will look at :
1) How to compose your pictures so that you can focus the viewers attention on your painting. Nolan will show you the secrets used by the top professionals to capture and retain the viewers attention in your paintings.

2) Then we will learn what equipment you need when starting out in oil painting. Nolan will not only explain what to buy, but also what to look out for when buying and what NOT to buy.

There will also be a QnA session where you will be able to ask Nolan your questions.

Greeting From Texas!
Tuned in to the first webanir replay and have a few things to say about it.
When I saw you take the color wheel and apply it to the photograph I new I had found what I have been wanting to know. When you showed the ball and how to paint it, the light went on. This session toughed on so many things I have been confused about. I learn better when I can see how it is done and not just read about it.
I am glad this is not a school but a more relaxed learning experience.
I look forward to more for the webanirs and purchasing various downloads.
Thank You All!
Enjoy The Day!
PS. I will look at the phases of the Moon differently now that I have seen the ball demo.

Wow!  I loved watching the replay of the webinar, and I was SO excited that there is another live session coming - and then I saw what time South Africans get to tune in...     I don't mind suffering for my art, but this is rediculous!  If we look at the course schedule, could we send you some questions before the time?  I would love to!
I am mostly self taught through books, but you can read all you want - unless someone shows you what you are reading, the words wont compare to the movements (by way of speaking) and this webinar does just that!  It shows what the books can't!  Thanks guys!
And now I have upchucked a novel...

Hello Smartie, It's great to hear you managed to watch a replay of Nolan & Denis' 'Colour Mixing' webinar. I had the privilege to post live questions to Nolan and got some great answers.
Tomorrows part 2 is 9-11 pm in the UK which we are lucky about. ALthough the times may prove a little difficult for members to contribute live, I'm sure that if we send Nolan questions beforehand, he'll try to incorporate them in the session. He did with mine in part 1 although I actually managed to join live to post more!
I hope you manage to see a repeat of part 2 and that you consider asking a few questions in enough time that allows for consideration.
Good luck and enjoy.

Hi Smartie. Please be welcomed to our forum and hope you get many pleasurable hours here with A GREAT crowd.

I would like to respond to the time factor. This time was very carefully researched and this was the most ideal time where we could reach as many people as possible in the world from here in New Zealand. I also attend webinars that involve my business in art and there are times where I have set my alarm clock to get up in 3:30 in the morning in order to attend these important webinars. Certainly send your questions in before time as the good news is that every newsletter and live webinars are recorded and can be looked at at your pleasure. So please do not feel that you are being left out on purpose.

We do our best to help artists in their quest for excellence.
Happy  :painting:

:bigwelcome: to the site Smartie, like the name  ;D

If the webinar is too late for you, please do send or post your questions before hand - just post them here O0

I will do my best to answer them in the show, otherwise I will answer them here on the forum.

You will also be glad to know that we are recording all the live shows, so if you can't make it live, then you can watch the replay afterwards
