Nolan,

I have to work (volunteer job) today, but am looking forward to doing the rose on the replay.

Thanks for offering roses, they are something that I really want to learn to do.

i am typing left handed, and holding ice on my drawing hand   :cold:
i cant draw left handed like someone we know here   ;)

Sue I am so sorry to hear from your accident,  :'( that really hurts, so just keep the ice on it. I really hope you will be able to use your right hand as soon as possible so you can draw again. I know how it feels not being able to draw :( and because it took such a long time for my wrist to even start to recover, I just had to try it lefthanded, next time I will try mouth or footpainting  :cloud9: But I really hope for you that, when the replay is uploaded, your hand will be just fine.
Just take care, Hugs :1hug: , Riya. :flowers:

:thankyou: so much Nolan for the template :flowers: , I can't follow the classes anymore, but now I an still able to draw some of the objects you teach  :smitten:

:thankyou: JennyLynn & Riya.  the ice is helping, i hope i will be drawing tomorrow.  it was really dumb of me to do what i did, swung my hand out walking through a narrow hallway.  just wish i had waited to do it after class   :uglystupid2:   :(

 8) loving this!  Think I have improved on the lips of the petals.  I bought some thicker paper but found that it is too rough and even my 2H seems to be too dark with the lightest possible touch  so next one back to good old smooth copy paper  ;D

Wondering if my closest petal needs to be better blended in from the dark edge against the curled lip?  :help: welcomed  :P

Great job Lisa, well done :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Some pencils are softer than others, so if you find that your 2H is too soft, then you may need to go down to a 4H to get your lightest tonal values.

I would add the shading you have suggested O0

:thankyou: Nolan I will get on to that.  I actually have a 5H and that is darker than my 2H  :banghead: so I am going into paper plus to find something lighter

Lisa, an excellent job on the rose.  I can't wait for the replay. I sat this morning and drew the template with the grid system as I don't have access to a printer while on vacation.  Patricia

Lisa,

Your rose is beautiful.

I like how you shaded your leaves,  They look velvety.

I had to got to my volunteer job today so missed the class, but did manage to draw it freehand today while I road the bus to town.

Didn't come out too bad and I only used one pencil.  I'll do the replay next week and make a better one.
