Hi Ginger, well done with the adding of the photo and your drawing of the onion and garlic  O0 I remember when I did this one and Nolan suggested I shade the back in evenly at  a 45o and then again at 90o angles. It made a huge difference. If you look on page 4 of this discussion and then page 5 you will see my first post and then the touched up background if you want     :)
Aroha! Lisa :-)

Good work, Kathy.  Like the cross-hatched background.

Maybe a bit more blending where the skin shadow shows on the onion.

:thankyou:  Mea:  I lightened and blended the shadow behind the loose onion skin.  It looks better.   Kathy

✏️✏️✏️ It sure felt good to get out my pencils and draw. It's been a couple of weeks.  :thankyou: Nolan for another fabulous class. I really enjoyed the lesson. I feel pretty good about how this turned out but am certainly open to any suggestions for improvement!

KathyS,

You have every reason to feel good about this  - you did a great job.  Your cross-hatched background looks really good.

Beautiful job, Kathy. I love it. My only criticism is "Practice, practice, practice." You get better with each drawing you do. O0 O0 O0
