 Mea, Natalie.... one must be very specific when dealing with our Yorkie...he tends to take things quite literally.      ::)

Anthony....lay one bristle/roller to my Ruby and....  :knuppel2: will be the nicest thing to happen to you!     :2funny:

Look at that face, she adores you! You are a grumpy old bear....           lost the grumpy bear...mind yourself now or you may well be dancing in a tight tutu!!! Now that would make a picture!   :2funny:
You take good care of our girl, lots of scratches and treats (for Ruby....not you!   )
Cheers, Val

It's taken me ages to figure out how to post a photo that was to large for the server! What I did was, I opened the image on my iPhone and then snapped a screen shot of it. That way it was saved as a lower res jpeg and I was then able to post it!  :smart:

Here is my completed image. I've learnt a lot from doing this and it's focused my attention on a few areas I need to shift towards. A lot of the drawing felt like tracing and some of it frustratingly tedious. I've pushed through to get the drawing completed to a satisfactory finish. I just need to consider doing the colour but, I've got another project I want to start so, I may pop this one on the shelf until later.

That was a quick reply Val! Are you stalking me?!  >:D :2funny:

When I set out to do this digital drawing I made the mistake of thinking in terms of Pen 'n Ink type or, Line & Wash' style. What I'm gonna do is print it off and ink it stronger in certain areas then, add watercolour washes and use the watercolour pencils just to enhance (to colour the whole scene with coloured pencils would be too tedious and painful!). And, I've got so behind with my art that, I need to jump to my next mission!

Thanks for your patience on this one Val  :gl2: :1hug:

Tony, you must have nerves of steel.  I would never have the patience to draw (even digitally) that many straight lines.

You did well.

Gold star!

lol!  ;D  yep, this one took a lot of that Nolan! I've learned to spend time considering what media or technique I'll use from now on. I was surprised how this line type of work is time consuming and took me away from using much brain power. I've veered yet again from my intentions to get creative  :-\ :D

Lots to catch up on so, I best get set too...

Yeah, digital is very interesting but, like all other forms of media, it has it's learning curve and many pitfalls! There's not many digital schooling lessons I know of that take newbies through the stages to proficiency, apart from a few video lessons for apps or, expensive ones for expensive professional software so, it's more or less a self taught area for now.
Have a go Natalie, you'll like it I'm sure.
