Me, too, Brian.  I have never enjoyed, not even attempted to draw, until I started this course.

I can see now where it has made a difference in my paintings.  I understand the whole shading thing so much better.

I would never have continued with art if I hadn't found Paintbasket.com.  It's like hanging out with my friends, but with the bonus of learning at the same time.

I know it has been more than 5 months since I've posted.  I haven't given up.  I have been dealing with a major issues that has taken its toll on my spare time.  I was able to finally finish this during some down time at professional meetings last week.  I enjoyed this lesson and I am looking forward to the next one.  Hoping it will be less than 5 months, though  ;D

   Beautifull work Brian, just the small rock on the bottom left has the same planes on all sides.

Great job so far Brian.

Look for areas where you can add more darks in shadings or shadows. These will really give it that 3D and have it jumping off the page. Don't be afraid to add darks, you need the darks against lights to give your drawings/paintings depth and dimension.   O0

Brian,

Good for you for finishing what you started 5 months ago.  I agree with the girls that you need a bit more darks.  Also, I found the face of a man on the left side of the big rock on the bottom.  Amazing.

  Nice rocks, Brian. . .nice face in the lower one too!! Don't loose that face, it's too cute, but you do need more darks to make the lights "pop"! Gotta listen to the Val person, she knows what she is talking about.. . . . yep, Val rocks!!!!Sometimes she tries to rope people into doing her  :fight:  and :knuppel2:  for her, but she still rocks, never mind the advanced years!  :2funny: :2funny: >:D

Thanks, Nolan.  It was a long dry spell for no drawing.  It felt good to get back with it again.
