Hi all,

I stumbled across this site and thought, now here's possibly a hassle free way to sell your art - as long as you could somehow then market the fact it was there => maybe by having your own artist site and a link to the item on fido to complete the transaction :

http://www.artfido.com/

Their blurb states:
Quote
Why sell your art on artFido? Well that's simple. One, we only sell art, so your listings won't get lost amongst second-hand shoes and old bicycles. Two, we only charge a small sales fee of 8.5% for successful sales only, which is much cheaper than any alternative. Three, you don't have to send us your art, and you have complete control of the listing and selling process. And four, it's easy - with just a few clicks you can list and sell your art to buyers across the globe.

It doesn't seem that there is a listing price and a pretty fair selling fee...

Dear Imbatman;
It looks like an ideal place to sell your artwork, if you live within the shipping area of Australia.
The auction system would bring in immediate cash if needed.   :gl:

 :2funny: Didn't realise it was an Aussie site really! The majority of Aussie sites end in .au

When I go to the artists page, I can choose a country in the drop down menu, so I think it's meant to be an international site, although most artists come from Australia indeed.
I even saw 6 Dutch painters, not that they uploaded many paintings.
